French Spirit title

DEBUSSY (arr. A. Schoenberg)

Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun

Pribaoutki (Nonsense Rhymes)

Two Songs

RAVEL (arr. Simard)

Gaspard de la Nuit

Our first chamber orchestra series concert offers refinement, sensuality, nostalgia and clair-obscur colours. Turn-of-the-century rivals Debussy and Ravel are featured in original (and unusual!) arrangements, alongside selections for voice and ensemble both funny, elegant, and very... french!

Mozart Spirit title

MOZART (arr. Triebensee and Simard)

Don Giovanni (excerpts)

Our second chamber orchestra series concert features excerpts of arguably Mozart’s greatest opera, arranged for instrumental ensemble. The operatic plot is narrated instead of sung, but retains all of Mozart’s spirit and perfection in the musical writing.
